National Fresh Food Home Delivery Service rolled
out On Jan. 5, 2006.
eDiets.com entered the diet food home delivery
market in early 2006 with the launch of what used to
be called FreshCuisine(TM),
then later named eDiets Express, a chef-prepared fresh food delivery
service offering 400+ menu items. Now it's called Deliciously Yours.
Apparently, the previous plan, which was
priced at $700-1,100 per 28-day cycle,
was not very successful. So eDiets made
changes and lowered the price to
$15.95/day, or about $450/month.
One can find information about the
service at:
www.DeliciouslyYours.com.
According to eDiets, unlike other plans
that rely on frozen, canned or powdered
foods, Deliciously Yours guarantees
freshness, since foods are not prepared
until customers order them. The service
is available throughout the continental
U.S., and meals can be delivered to the
home, office or a hotel.
This service provides three complete
meals a day, customized to your food
preferences and diet needs. Meals are
developed and prepared by top chefs who
are graduates of the Culinary Institute
of America and worked at upscale
restaurants nationwide.
Deliciously Yours guarantees a full
14-day shelf life from the day of
receipt when the product is kept chilled
in a refrigerator.
Registered dietitians and nutritionists
are available by phone and online to provide counseling about customers'
needs related to health issues such as
diabetes and weight loss. They are
available, toll-free, Monday-Friday 8 am
- 10 pm EST and 9 am to 9 pm on
Saturdays and Sundays.
At the
DeliciouslyYours.com
website, you complete a profile to determine your health conditions, weight loss goals and preferences. After
that's completed, chefs prepare meals and shop them to your home. The plan fits
requirements for low sodium, low fat, low cholesterol, carb-controlled, and
heart smart diets. The plan is based on 1200 calories per day. If a person needs
more than that, a list of recommended snacks is provided to increase the calorie
level.
