Jan. 5, 2009 – According to newswire articles, NutriSystem’s  weight loss program will now be available at Costco Wholesale  stores at a discount as a partnership with the warehouse club expands NutriSystem’s offerings to a wider consumer audience.

Costco members who purchase the plan will receive 35 days worth of food, free shipping and a meal planner at $259.99 for women and $284.99 for men, representing a discount from the standard prices of $299 and $329, respectively.

NutriSystems' products and services have historically been sold through the company's e-commerce and telephone consulting businesses.

NutriSystem's Senior Vice President of Business Development Will Auchincloss called Costco "a great partner during these tough economic times," as the company adds the retail channel to its direct-to-consumer business model.

Costco operates 384 stores in the  U.S.

Costco members will be able to call a toll-free number or log on to the Horsham, Pa., company’s website to enroll in the programs
