How The Program Works

Goals of DietSite

  • To guide you in choosing healthy foods when at home or dining at your favorite restaurants.

  • To provide you with diet advice for every age and stage of life.

  • To provide with up to date nutrition information on a whole variety of topics.

  • To give you straightforward nutrition information so you understand how to read and apply the information when choosing foods for yourself and others.

  • First, you fill out the usual demographic profile, supplying your age, weight, height, weight loss goals, and activity level. Next, a nutritional assessment is produced, providing an analysis of your caloric needs, amounts of protein, carbs, and vitamins. Next, based on your responses, you get recipe and diet analysis reports, which are pretty comprehensive (bar charts, pie charts, etc.). You get personalized menu plans, for all three meals per day. This website also has an exercise tracker that tells you how many calories you’ll burn for hundreds of different types of exercise and activities. You can also find a weight loss buddy, via the site’s various forums.

One can get a helpful 2-minute audio tour of the site, explaining the program’s features. Once you fill out your profile, you can obtain a 1-day free trial. Based on the data you supply, the program tells you your BMI (body mass index) and the recommended daily number of calories to take in. Then, you decide whether to sign up or not.

Tools included on this website include the following:

    • Weight tracking

    • Exercise tracking

    • Health tracking

    • Diet analysis

Regarding interactive support features, you have three: "ask your RD", forums, and an "email members" feature.

The total cost of this program is $9.95 per month. When you register, you can get a free 1-day trial. A 3-month membership costs $27.95, six months is $54.95 and a 1-year membership is $69.95.

    Comment

BestDietForMe.com analysts can’t seem to find much information about this diet website or the company behind it. It is well designed and easy to navigate. A helpful audio tour provided at the website claims that they have a team of dietitians available to counsel and respond to you via email. The site does seem to provide a pretty comprehensive set of analytical tools and features, including exercise. The price is on a par with other diet websites.
