Summary

This is a regional chain of 25 clinics, in operation for more than 20 years. At Medical Weight Loss Clinic®, the patient’s health and safety are the first concern and the medical staff will consistently monitor your progress. Blood pressure is checked every visit. Cholesterol is checked when you begin and, if high, will be reduced by following the clinic’s plans. All of your visits are at your convenience and are private. No appointments are necessary once you have enrolled and are on your plan.

This medical chain claims that its patients average about 3 pounds per week of weight loss. The chain has a LIFETIME MAINTENANCE service that assures the patient of long-term support and success.

Medical Weight Loss Clinic® has introduced a new weight loss program that claims permanent results for patients. This program has been researched since 1990 and involves the use of FDA approved medications.

The program is designed for the patient who has developed a subconscious food obsession and who has been unsuccessful at achieving and maintaining an ideal body weight with the efforts of the clinic’s original program. It is essential that the patient understand that the prescription therapy program will be administered as a whole, not just as a drug therapy program.

It has three vital components:

  • Counseling, which is the underlying success factor

  • Moderate exercise

  • Prescription therapy

One-on-one visits three times per week, nutritional counseling and the accountability factor make high quality service and care a top priority.

    Comment

This regional medical weight loss clinic-based program has been around for 20+ years, with a good track record. BestDietForMe.com analysts feel that most all of the required components of a good and safe weight loss plan are included here—continuous medical supervision and initial screening, the availability of a variety of programs tailored to an individual’s needs, one-to-one counseling, the use of regular grocery store food instead of expensive company diet foods, a commitment to long-term support, all at an affordable cost. In addition, with the addition of the "virtual clinic", the customer does not have to actually live in Michigan to use this program. The only thing we would inquire more about is how they handle one’s exercise program. Not much information is available from their website about this.
